"80 years" is a reportage that I made during my photography studies.

The subject of the project is my grandfather, a mechanic since he was 14 years old who founded his own workshop in Cullera. For as long as I can remember I have always seen my grandfather in the workshop, together with my mother and my uncle working every day. In this report I wanted to show that, at the age of eighty (although he is now 82 years old), he still opens and closes the workshop every day, helping in any way he can and offering his great knowledge as an expert who has dedicated his whole life to this trade. It is his life and his great passion, even though he is retired.

He is the soul of the workshop, he has taught many people his beloved craft and has dedicated his whole life to it. He has been teaching me since I was a child, and he wanted his great passion to be captured forever through photography.

An important point that you will appreciate is that the whole reportage is made with an analogue camera. I was chasing him for days, while he was working or telling me how it was done in his time and how it has changed now. It was wonderful for both of us.
